Nate and Kristin’s Callawassie Island engagement session was so fun! The couple wanted unposed photos showing how much they enjoy each other’s company, and the gorgeous location at Colleton River Club didn’t hurt! The Lowcountry scenery was simply breathtaking, especially at sunset. I’m so glad I could take their engagement photos, and I can’t wait to capture their wedding day.

Nate and Kristin’s Love Story

The couple met in 2013 and dated throughout college. After graduating, they moved to D.C. together. However, for their Callawassie Island engagement session, they wanted to return to their Lowcountry roots. They even observed the Southern wedding tradition of “burying the bourbon!” They’ve been together for ten years and can’t wait to say “I do.”

Although Kristin admits it wasn’t love at first sight, she says getting to know Nate felt natural. She feels like she’s known him forever! The couple loves to travel, go to the beach, ski, and golf. They also enjoy spending quiet moments at home with their two cats, cooking dinner, and drinking wine. They have a ton of fun together, which came through during their session!

Callawassie Island Engagement Session Attire

The couple chose two pairs of outfits for their Lowcountry engagement session that coordinated perfectly. Kristin started the session in a colorful patchwork mini dress with fun puffed sleeves. Nate dressed in neutrals to give her the spotlight, with a white button-down dress shirt and khaki pants. Midway through the session, he changed into a blue button-down while Kristin slipped into a white midi dress with a romantic sweetheart neckline and ruffled hem. They looked amazing together! I loved that they weren’t afraid to play with patterns and colors while still looking timeless.

Kristin and Nate’s wedding at Colleton River Club will kick off my 2023 wedding season. I can’t wait to see their day come together, especially under the skilled direction of Sincerely Yours Events!
