This Tulsa newborn session had all the feels! The Hemphills welcomed the newest member of their family, Henry Paul, last year and asked me to visit their home and photograph this precious chapter in their life together. In-home sessions are some of my favorites, and I couldn’t wait! Especially since I’ve been capturing Ally and Brandon’s journey since their wedding day.

Over the years, I’ve taken the Hemphills’ anniversary photos and baby announcement photos. Now I can add their portraits with sweet baby Henry to the list! I can’t wait to watch their family continue to grow. Watching couples transition into parenthood is always meaningful, and Ally and Brandon are already incredible parents. Their love for Henry flowed naturally during our session, and I could tell he had left a lasting mark on their hearts.

Tulsa Newborn Session

The Hemphills warmly welcomed me into their home, and I immediately started snapping portraits. We spent most of the session inside Henry’s nursery, which has the cutest blue and white theme! The gingham sheets on his crib stole my heart, and décor with Bible verses gave the space a calming atmosphere. Ally and Brandon snuggled their little one, changed his diaper, and continued their routine like I wasn’t there! This relaxed approach is the best way to ensure you get images of your family’s authentic, everyday life out of your newborn session.

Ally, Brandon, and Henry also wore blue and white to match their space! Ally began the session wearing a casual navy dress, then changed into a cerulean eyelet dress with puff sleeves. Meanwhile, Brandon wore a light blue button-down with jeans. Little Henry had several outfit changes! He wore the cutest blue and white sleeper embroidered with his initials at the start of the session. Then, Ally changed him into a mint green sleeper with tiny wooden buttons. In between, I also snapped a few portraits of him snuggled inside his favorite blue blanket!

Ally and Brandon have shown me nothing except kindness and unwavering support over the years. I’m so glad I could photograph their Tulsa newborn session!
