My entrepreneurial days began in elementary school. I ran a bookmark business...that's right. Bookmarks. I would spend my evenings crafting bookmarks, that my mom would take to work and laminate for me. She also was kind enough to make me official business cards. I would set up a "booth" at her home & garden shows. It makes me teary to think back on that, now having a daughter of my own...I had parents who raised me to believe I could do anything I put my mind to.
I put my mind to photography at the age of 14 and have since traveled the world to take pictures.
I've been featured in magazines, online publications, & yet...my greatest titles reside in wife & mama.
Photography is the tool that connects me to new people & stories that I have the honor of helping tell.

It's true...he was my best friend's brother & it wasn't the plan. But, love has a way of doing unexpected things in life & I believe that's where the best parts of life happen; the unexpected. Micah is the better part of me. He is madly creative & makes me laugh harder than anyone.
Our marriage is the easiest decision I've made.

Africa, France, Guatemala, Philippines, and all across the United States...it's no secret that I love to travel. I'm running at an all time, inspiration high when I'm out of my sense of normalcy. I love meeting new people and trying coffee anywhere I go.

Philosophy
When I sit and reflect on the photographs that I've taken, I don't simply see a pretty bride & glamorous bridesmaids...I see a bride with friends around her to build her up, support her, & laugh with her. I don't just see a dashing couple who looks really great. I see two people who will never have THIS moment again. Two people who will raise children to believe laughter is a beautiful thing. I don't just see a father daughter dance. I see a dad flashing back to holding a little messy toddler singing the silliest songs in the kitchen.
IT'S MORE THAN PRETTY PHOTOS, IT'S THE STORY WITHIN that deserves to be captured
You see, pretty photographs are what they are, pretty. But, your story is important and impactful...THAT is what I see beauty in. It's important for me to connect with my clients and understand what makes them unique so I can capture those exact things. I believe in friendship, laughter, the happy tears, dancing till your feet are numb, hugging grandma REALLY tight, and always hugging your parents when you leave. I really value life and believe I was put here to create, encourage, and serve those around me. I hope I'm able to do this for YOU!
