The Ochs family’s in-home newborn session in Atlanta was simply precious! I’m so glad I could document one of sweet baby Beau’s first days at home. He has the most adorable smile, and I know he is so loved already. I count his parents, Anne Marie and Chris, among my dear friends, which made this session even more fun!

From Clients to Dear Friends

I photographed Anne Marie and Chris’ wedding in 2019, and our connection was instant. Documenting their day is still one of my favorite memories! They traveled from Dallas (where they lived at the time) to attend my baby shower in 2020 and stayed the night with me and my husband. We ate pizza in our living room, and it made me realize that this photography business has been one of the greatest gifts to me in terms of human connection. I’ve formed so many lasting friendships, all thanks to this hobby-turned-career! It was an incredible, full-circle moment.

In-Home Newborn Session in Atlanta

Watching Anne Marie and Chris embark on the journey of parenthood together, just days after baby Beau came into the world, was such a gift. He’s not only handsome and perfect (just look at that smile!) but loved by all—including Taco and Tiki, his mighty watchdogs! We spent most of our time inside Beau’s adorable nursery. We also ventured outside for a bit! Anne Marie and Chris have a gorgeous flowering bush in their yard that made the perfect backdrop for sweet Beau tucked inside a blue and white striped swaddle.

The family opted for simple outfits in neutral tones. Anne Marie wore a silky dress and pulled back her long hair with a beautiful pearl headband. Meanwhile, Chris wore a white button-down and jeans. Beau rocked several adorable outfits, but my favorite had to be his tiny oatmeal sweater and matching knitted hat!

I’m so glad I could reunite with Anne Marie and Chris for this newborn session in Atlanta, capturing one of the first days at home with their Beau. I can’t wait to watch him grow in the year to come!
