One of the things I love about being a wedding and family photographer is getting to see clients again and capture their growing families. I photographed Sara and Austin McGinis’s wedding in 2019. Now, four years later, they’ve welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Harper! Documenting her arrival with this in-home newborn session in Tulsa was such a pleasure. I’m thrilled to share a few of the highlights today!

In-Home Newborn Session in Tulsa

Baby Harper was completely content during this session in the McGinis family’s adorable Tulsa home. She truly is a little angel! We began the session in her nursery, where her parents swaddled her into the cutest blanket patterned with tiny pink flowers. Sara and Austin doted over their sweet little one, and she was quiet as a mouse the whole time. Then, we moved to the stylish living room for the remainder of the session.

There is something so special about witnessing the joy two people share on their wedding day and then seeing them lit up by a new kind of joy when they become parents. It brings tears to my eyes! Sara and Austin glowed with happiness during our session, and it didn’t matter that they felt tired or sleep-deprived when holding their bundle of joy. As a mama myself, it was a beautiful thing to witness!

One of the highest compliments my wedding couples can pay me is inviting me back into their lives to capture all of life’s milestones.
