After photographing Claire and David’s engagement session in downtown Tulsa, I couldn’t wait to capture their Southern Hills Country Club wedding! These two had the most unique wedding weekend. On Friday morning, they had an intimate ceremony with only their immediate families present, followed by an elegant brunch inside the country club. Then, on Saturday, they celebrated big with all their friends and family! It was the perfect way to include all their loved ones in the fun without sacrificing meaningful time together. 

Southern Hills Country Club Wedding Ceremony

Claire and David’s intimate wedding ceremony was outside on the Southern Hills Country Club patio, overlooking the lush golf course with the Tulsa skyline visible in the distance. After Claire walked down the aisle with her dad, he sang a song for the couple and their families. It was such a special moment for Claire, who has loved hearing her dad sing to her for as long as she can remember. The next day at the reception, he sang her first dance song with David. I don’t think there was a dry eye in the room!

One of my favorite additions to Claire and David’s wedding reception was a live illustrator to draw portraits of the guests. They hired Kristi Holland Designs, a local Tulsa artist specializing in custom portraits and watercolors. Each guest could request up to one portrait of themselves, with their family, significant other, or friends. It was such a great experience for everyone, and the portraits made amazing keepsakes to remember the celebration by! Kristi blew me away with her kindness and talent—she was so great with the guests, and everyone raved about her afterward.

I’m so glad I could photograph Claire and David’s Southern Hills Country Club wedding! They’re such a fun and laidback couple, and I can’t wait to see what the future holds for them.
