I was honored to photograph Kristin and Nate’s wedding at Colleton River Club, which made the front page of [Style Me Pretty]! The style of this wedding blew me away. The vibrant colors and abundant florals signaled the approach of summer, while the custom details added a sentimental touch.

I met Kristin and Nate when I photographed them for their Callawassie Island engagement session. We enjoyed an evening of exploring the grounds of Colleton River Club and taking in the gorgeous Lowcountry scenery. Afterward, I couldn’t wait for their wedding day! I knew the venue would be the perfect location for bringing the couple’s vision to life, and the big day didn’t disappoint when it finally arrived.

Summer Wedding at Colleton River Club

Kristin spent two years planning the perfect Lowcountry summer soiree for her wedding to Nate at Colleton River Club. Their ceremony was outdoors on the golf green, with the riverfront visible in the distance. Afterward, they hosted a tented reception on the lawn outside the club. It was a beautiful day in the Lowcountry without a speck of rain, and Mother Nature even treated us to a spectacular sunset!

Walking into the reception tent felt like entering a romantic summer dreamscape. The combination of vibrant florals, textured linens, varying tablescapes, and colorful paper accents made the tent come to life in all the best ways. The planners at Sincerely Yours Events really created a unique and memorable scene!

Kristin and Nate love to have fun with their people in addition to having impeccable style. When it was time to hit the dance floor, they passed out custom trucker hats for everyone to wear! And when the late-night munchies arrived, they were prepared. Tomato soup shooters topped with mini grilled cheese sandwiches were the perfect snack to fuel the dancers into the wee hours.

An Unforgettable Floral Ballgown

Kristin truly is the fashion queen, and her wedding day style was jaw-dropping. For her ceremony dress, she chose the Dahlia gown by Monique Lhuillier. A print of peach and blush flowers intertwined with green leaves danced over the fabric. Meanwhile, the pleated bodice, off-the-shoulder puff sleeves, and sweeping train added drama. Later, she changed into the shell pink Shannon mini dress by Cult Gaia before dancing the night away. The fun and flirty design featured ostrich feathers all over the garment!

From Kristin and Nate’s engagement session to their wedding at Colleton River Club, I had so much fun getting to know this couple and photographing their love.
