Caroline and Trevor’s Colorado destination wedding was one for the books! They tied the knot in Crested Butte, where Trevor spent summers at his grandparents’ mountain home as a child. The couple also traveled there on skiing trips with Trevor’s family while they were dating, so the location was full of fond memories for both. All of their loved ones traveled from Oklahoma to spend the weekend celebrating them, and it was so fun to capture everyone’s excitement! From the elegant bridal luncheon and golf scramble to the joy-filled wedding day, it was a weekend packed full of unforgettable experiences.

Colorado Destination Wedding Invitations

Caroline and Trevor’s wedding day featured beautiful, custom-made paper details. Their invitation suite was a labor of love that united the talents of two individuals! Croatia-based watercolor artist Lana Dreams created all the word art and a custom crest bordered with wildflowers that also appeared on the couple’s favors and menu cards. In addition, she painted an intricate watercolor map of the couple’s venue, The Club at Crested Butte.

Meanwhile, Caroline’s mom facilitated the overall design, created the envelope calligraphy, and oversaw print production and packaging. A Tulsa-based artist, she specializes in colorful, modern, fine-art paintings. I couldn’t believe the beauty of what she and Lana created together! It was a one-of-a-kind heirloom that made the perfect introduction to the wedding weekend.

Reception at The Club at Crested Butte

The couple hosted an indoor wedding reception at The Club at Crested Butte that came together under the direction of the Lucky Penny Events team. Just like their wedding invitations, everything about their reception was so unique! The design was colorful and inviting, with plenty of flowers befitting Crested Butte’s designation as Colorado’s “wildflower capital.” The cobalt blue, peach, and pale yellow blossoms tied the various elements on the tablescapes together. Meanwhile, the patterned tablecloths added a touch of whimsy.

The reception décor also featured several references to the wedding location, with a seating chart and custom-painted bottle of champagne that said “Love at 9,000 Feet.” Moreover, The Club at Crested Butte’s in-house catering team served elevated mountain cuisine, including petite filet mignon and sautéed halibut.

Caroline and Trevor’s Colorado destination wedding was so artfully and intentionally designed. I feel honored that they chose me to document it all!
