Teddy and Hope Cooper’s colorful wedding at Southern Hills Country Club was just perfect from start to finish. This was my first wedding of the year, and I couldn’t be more grateful to have the chance to work with this beautiful couple as I get back into the swing of things!
Hope got ready with her family and friends before the couple did their first look. The first look is always one of my favorite moments to capture – so many beautiful emotions! It also lets my couples get some alone time together, and helps alleviate the wedding day jitters. After the first look, the couple had a beautiful backyard ceremony. And when I say beautiful, I mean it! Their ceremony was drenched in beautiful ombre colors from the lush florals by Poppy’s Garden. The ceremony arch was UN.REAL. She is a true artist when it comes to florals.
The reception followed at Sothern Hills Country Club, and it was just as stunning as the ceremony. I was so fortunate to work with such an incredible vendor team for this wedding. I’ve worked with Annie Brady before and she proves over and over again to be one of the BEST creatives I have the opportunity to work with. She comes up with the most unique and beautiful ideas for couples, executes with excellence, and delivers one heck of a party!
The couple wanted to incorporate their love for the outdoors, including their love of the US National Parks. Each space of the venue was turned into intimate gathering spaces, with pops of color throughout. And their welcome sign was a map with their favorite National Parks! It was such a fun detail.
One of my favorite parts of the wedding was the live painting! This is one of my personal favorite additions that any couple has for their wedding. It really brings the event to life and the painting always turns out so beautifully. Guests always love seeing the artist at work. And it gives you an incredible keepsake that you can hang in your home!
I was also so thankful to have the help of an amazing assistant and second shooter, Lauren Hunter at this wedding. I love having my right-hand woman there to help me capture all the important details and special moments so we don’t miss a thing!
If you are planning a wedding in Tulsa, Make sure to drop me a note! I can’t wait to hear all the details you have planned for your big day. I also love to travel, from Savannah to Maui, I love to visit them all!
