Tom + Nguyen’s Engagement Session At Woodward Park and Antoinette Bakery was absolutely dreamy. These two were so much fun to photograph and I could just sense the love they share for each other.

Tom and Nguyen both graduated from college in 2015 and moved to Boston shortly thereafter. They matched on Bumble in November of that year, and after a few days of messaging back and forth, they met for dinner in Boston’s North End at a restaurant named Bricco.

Slowly but surely, they got to know each other and build a life together. Although Nguyen only planned to stay in Boston for one year, she decided to make it two. And then after getting into pharmacy school in both Massachusetts and her home state of Oklahoma, she ultimately chose to stick around in New England for another three years.

So after graduating from pharmacy school in 2020, it was time to move back closer to family, and the decision to start the next chapter was the easiest decision that Tom ever made. One of the only tough things about this cross-country move was that it ended their streak of eating at Bricco for five years in a row on the day that they first met, November 6.

Engagement Session At Woodward Park

I absolutely love hearing love stories like this, it’s one of my favorite parts of my job. My other favorite part is getting to photograph gorgeous engagement sessions, of course. The lighting at Woodward Park was just perfect. I loved how Nguyen’s pink and yellow dresses fit perfectly amongst the gorgeous flowers in the park. This park is just a few miles from downtown Tulsa and has over 40 acres of perfectly manicured lawns. With thousands of blooms, you get an array of colors all year round!

We also ended up at Antoinette Bakery for some adorable coffee shop engagement photos which were more casual and fun. While I love capturing sessions outdoors, I also love finding spots that are meaningful to my couple! Your engagement session is about your love story. So if that means your favorite afternoon is coffee and scrabble at a coffee shop, I am all in!
