Savvy + Nick’s engagement session at Tulsa Rose Garden was beautiful from start to finish. The two met in August of 2016 at OU! They hit it off immediately and spent the whole day together and at the end of the night they talked in his car for 4 hours and then he asked her on a date and the rest is history. They truly are each other’s best friends and they cannot wait to finally be married!

When it came to the proposal, Savvy knew that the proposal was happening soon, just wasn’t sure when or where. They lived in Dallas for the majority of 2021, and Nick proposed in July of 2021 at the Dallas Arboretum. While it was a typical hot summer day in Dallas, it is still one of Savvy’s favorite memories. After he proposed, both of their families and closest friends were all waiting for them at Savvy’s Aunt and Uncle’s house. It was truly the most special day celebrating with the ones that mean the most to them!

As a couple, they are pretty laid back and love to go to a nice dinner for date night now and then, but like to go home afterward, throw on sweats and watch a movie at home. They are really my kind of couple! There is nothing better than a night in with the ones you love, all cuddled up on the couch. In August, they will have been together for 6 years, and can’t wait to finally say I Do.

Engagement Session at Tulsa Rose Garden

When it comes to photos, they really wanted to focus on having photos that showed them just having fun! Neither of them is super serious, so capturing them just laughing and having fun with each other was most important! I think 50 years from now, those will mean the most to them! During the session, they were lucky enough to have the most beautiful golden hour lighting. We wandered through the Tulsa Rose Garden and found so many beautiful locations to shoot at. Their engagement session photos turned out stunning, which makes me even more excited to see how their wedding photos come out. I can’t wait!
