Hunter and Diane’s Colorful Wedding at the Mayo Hotel was filled with so many beautiful moments! Their love story started when they met on Bumble in Kansas City, MO and the rest is history! I was lucky enough to really get to know these two while capturing their engagement session. After how beautifully their engagement photos turned out during that session, I couldn’t wait to capture their big day. In fact, we didn’t just photograph their day, but also provided videography! Videography is such an important part of your wedding day coverage. Our couples love being able to watch their favorite day, again and again, year after year.

Colorful Garden-Inspired Wedding at the Mayo Hotel

Diane got ready with her bridal party and family on the morning of their wedding day. She wore a timeless strapless A-line gown that was perfect for their classic venue! Her bridesmaids wore gorgeous emerald green gowns by Azazie that really added an extra pop of color throughout the day. The dark green really made the colorful flowers stand out.

Robyns Flower Garden transformed the Grand Hall into an incredible garden, which was breathtaking! Hanging greenery and ivy were draped along the iron staircase where the couple said I Do. Their backdrop was a one-of-a-kind greenery wall, with fresh flowers added in for color.  Diane told me she was most excited about walking down the aisle with her father to Hunter and the vows they were to exchange during their ceremony! They even had a live piano player, which really set the romantic mood for the day.

Colorful Wedding Reception

The garden-inspired theme was carried into the reception, which took place at The Crystal Ballroom. Dripping greenery hung from the ceiling, draping between the chandeliers. Pops of hot pink, orange, and citrus hues accented the all-white tables, with fresh fruit added to the decor. Additionally, touches of modern acrylic, like their acrylic Chiavari chairs, which made the space feel elevated. 

After dinner and cake cutting, Diane and Hunter joined their guests out on the dance floor to dance the night away! It was so much fun, and I could tell they loved spending time with their friends and family that they hadn’t seen in a long time. I love weddings like this where the couple really focuses on celebrating their love story and making memories that will last a lifetime with their friends!
