One of my FAVORITE places to travel to and visit…hands down, North Carolina. I first visited back in 2016 to attend the Making Things Happen conference. For so long before this, I had always felt drawn to NC – I know it sounds crazy, but there is SOMETHING about this place that just brings me so much happiness!

Once I visited, I was hooked. I’ve been back every year, sometimes twice since that first visit.

I told Micah after visiting, “I would LOVE to shoot a wedding here. Like seriously, what a dream!” Well, a few instagram posts + crazy internet connections later, Clare slid into my inbox curious if I would be up to traveling and photographing their wedding….in Raleigh, North Carolina.

I SQUEALED – like seriously loud, followed by a phone call to Micah exclaiming the news…now nothing was “official” at this time, but just the fact that it was a possibility sent me over the moon – I felt so honored!

After a few talks and all the details…I found myself on a flight to meet Clare & Chris and photograph their engagement session in the Raleigh Durham area!

These two…are amazing. They are SO laid back, have WONDERFUL senses of humor, and couldn’t have been more welcoming to me!

We met at the Duke Gardens to kick things off, jumped over to Duke Chapel, and wrapped up in the Tobacco District in Durham.

I CANNOT wait for their wedding next month!!! Micah and I will be headed to Highgrove Estate to document their wedding and I already know we’re going to have the absolute best time with these two!

Chris & Clare, I already can’t wait and am starting my packing list for your wedding in March!!! LET THE FUN CONTINUE!!!
