The Brumbaugh’s In-Home Newborn session in Broken Arrow

The Brumbaugh’s In-Home Newborn session in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma was such an absolute joy to be a part of. Their little bundle of joy was their first baby, which made this extra special. I love getting to spend time with parents, especially first-time parents. As a mother myself, I remember when we first brought our daughter home and how special our home felt. Getting to capture all the little moments that may seem mundane right now, are always so nice to have to look back on. Looking back on the details from the nursery, or the tiny little pair of sneakers is always so special.

As a photographer and as a parent myself, I appreciate photos of the little details like their toes, hands, etc. even more. It is always amazing how fast they grow, so having the photos to remember how tiny they were when they first come home is so special to look back on.

During the session, mom and dad wore white and blue outfits. This perfectly complemented the blue background of the adorably decorated nursery.  Baby Luke was the perfect little model dressed in his tiny grey onesie. He never cried during photos, he slept the entire time & he even gave us smiles!

What to expect during a newborn session

I know a lot of families worry that their newborn may cry during the session, and that’s okay! I am there to capture all of the real-life memories from this special time, and that may include some tears – which is totally normal and can actually result in some great photos to look back on.

For the Brumbaughs they had a lovely session and their photos turned out just beautifully. I am so excited for them and their new little bundle of joy as they enter this new phase in their life as a family.
