Jack + Linzy’s wedding in Savannah was such an absolute joy to shoot! From the first phone call, I knew Linzy & Jack were going to be people I of course would have a good time with, but beyond that, people I would want to be friends with!
I have been anticipating their wedding for a while now, due to having to reschedule because of Covid. But, let me tell you, their wedding was worth the wait! We had beautiful Savannah weather for the day. We also had extra portrait time, which is obviously my favorite because not only does Savannah have ENDLESS photo ops, but it means I got extra time to hang out with The Ellisons. Our photoshoots, although spanned hours, felt like a blip in time.
Linzy’s dress was a timeless Allison Webb gown. The detail inside her dress was her grandma’s wedding day, mama’s wedding day, and then Linzy’s day. Listening to Linzy’s sweet mother tell us all about it brought tears to my eyes. There is nothing like a mama seeing her baby girl be a bride!
Their wedding at Kehoe Iron Works at Trustees Garden was absolutely stunning. This venue is one of the newest in Savannah, and was so unique! This historical building has been completely remodeled, while still keeping the original charm and industrial feel. The space opens up to a large picturesque lawn, overlooking the Savannah River and downtown.
The couple wanted the space to feel light and airy, and Sincerely Yours Events made sure every detail was taken care of. Long tables were covered in ivory linens and featured tall centerpieces and flickering candles that added a soft glow. It had a timeless feel, with classic European romance. One of my favorite parts of the night was the live band. They brought so much energy and really got everyone out on the dance floor having an amazing time!
Since many of their friends were from out of town, they wanted to add some sweet Savannah staples. They have favors from Savannah Bee Company, Byrd Cookies, and River Street Sweets.
I had so much fun traveling to Savannah for the Ellison’s special day! Traveling is always an amazing opportunity but I truly loved capturing this love story most of all. I could not have asked for a better couple to share this special day with. If you are planning a wedding in Tulsa, or a destination wedding, drop me a note! I would love to hear about your upcoming wedding and everything you have planned so far!
