Austin and MK have a long history, and it was so great to learn their story! They started as very close friends and slowly developed into something more. Years ago, they were paired together to lead the worship team, so Austin invited her to see their friend Peter lead worship for the first time at their church. Despite being paired together, they didn’t know each other, and Austin thought this was a good opportunity. After many movie nights and days of running errands together, Austin and MK finally started dating. For their photoshoot, they decided on an in-home engagement session, which matches their relationship perfectly.
Austin and MK love singing and making music together, so their in-home engagement session is full of shots of them doing just that. We made sure to get some photos of them at the piano together and some shots of them with the guitar. After getting those intimate shots at home, we walked around and took some outdoor shots. The day was beautiful and perfect for spending some time outside. I’m so happy with how the photos came out!
The best part of doing an in-home engagement session is that it allows you to relax. Sometimes the hardest part of getting your picture taken is that you feel self-conscious or out of place. Getting your engagement session done at home can really help with this! This is especially true when you can do something fun and familiar to you. MK and Austin were able to show their musical side, which let them relax and have fun. You can just forget about the camera and enjoy yourself! Plus, it’s just another great way to create memories in your own home.
I just love shooting engagement sessions in my client’s home. They’re always so fun and personal! If this sounds like the perfect engagement shoot, reach out to me! We can get your engagement session scheduled!
