Baxter and Madison’s modern wedding at The Mayo Hotel was a dreamy, floral-forward affair! It’s been a blast getting to know them, from photographing their Scottsdale engagement session to documenting their wedding day. They have the best style, which shone through at their celebration at one of Tulsa’s most recognizable Art Deco landmarks. I’ve always loved photographing events at The Mayo, but the design created by Embellished Weddings went above and beyond to elevate the space to its fullest potential. I’m thrilled to share highlights from this special day!

Extravagant Wedding Floral Design

Poppy Lane’s floral designs were the indisputable centerpiece of Baxter and Madison’s modern wedding at The Mayo Hotel. No expense was spared to create the feeling of an indoor garden! The couple’s ceremony was on a staircase covered in lush blooms, spotlighting ivory peonies, peach ranunculus, and blue delphinium. Madison’s structured bouquet featured similar flowers, which also carried into the couple’s reception design. A mixture of elevated floral arrangements and bud vase centerpieces brought variety to the space. Meanwhile, soft pastel blossoms cascaded from the couple’s cake by Sweet Devotion Cakery to cover the entire table!

Modern Wedding at The Mayo Hotel

After Baxter and Madison exchanged vows, I whisked them away for portraits outside The Mayo Hotel. Soon, it started to rain, but that didn’t ruin the photos or dampen anyone’s spirits. Everyone was down to break out the clear umbrellas and have fun, even the couple’s bridal party! Fortunately, the rain didn’t last long, leaving behind the most beautiful sunset. We were able to capture it with some rooftop portraits, which are some of my favorite images from the day.

Then, it was time to get the party started! Surprise confetti canons opened the dance floor and set the tone for an evening full of fun. Baxter and Madison aren’t ones to hang back from a dance floor, and their moves got everyone into the celebratory spirit. Too soon, it was time for the day to come to an end. The couple’s guests lined up with confetti canons and showered the couple as they made their exit! They got into a vintage getaway car and drove off, ready to begin their life together.
