I had so much fun capturing a sweet local family, the Gerows, for their Tulsa in-home newborn session! As a Tulsa-based photographer, I love making new friends in my backyard. Carley and Blake recently welcomed their adorable baby girl, Georgia Blake, and wanted to document one of her first days at home. So, we planned an intimate session inside her beautifully decorated nursery. I couldn’t love the images more!
The Gerows graciously welcomed me into their adorable cottage for their Tulsa in-home newborn session. They purchased the house two years ago and have enjoyed doing renovations and DIY projects in their spare time. When they found out they were pregnant, they got to work designing the perfect nursery for their little one. Since they decided to wait to discover the baby’s gender, they chose a gender-neutral theme. They covered the walls in pretty sky blue and white wallpaper with a vine print and put together an incredible floating bookshelf with a mix of new and classic children’s books. It was the perfect setting for their family portraits!
The family wore blue and white for the session to match the nursery (except for little Georgia, who wore pink!). Carley wore a chambray mini dress with a ruffled hem and looked beautiful with her long blonde hair in loose curls. Meanwhile, Blake wore a checkered blue-and-white dress shirt with navy blue shorts. They changed Georgia into several outfits, including a pink waffle onesie and a soft ivory swaddle. Her headband, topped with a big white bow, was my favorite!
I’m so glad I could photograph the Gerow family’s Tulsa in-home newborn session. As a mama myself, I know they’ll forever cherish these photos! Are you preparing to welcome your little one? I would be honored to document your first days together at home as a family. Connect with me to learn more!
