Collin and Kenzie’s rooftop engagement session in Oklahoma City was so sweet and playful! I’ve loved getting to know these two. I photographed Kenzie’s sister’s wedding a few years ago, and I’ve always enjoyed photographing the same family twice. It feels like a reunion!

Proposal at Tulsa Botanical Gardens

Collin and Kenzie met while attending Oklahoma State University. Their Greek houses teamed up for the Freshman Follies fundraiser, and the two became fast friends. They crushed on each other almost immediately, then started dating a few months later! Kenzie says that Collin has been a great support system for her since the two have been in school since they met. Outside of studying, the two enjoy exploring the great outdoors. They like hiking and fishing together, but Kenzie says that even running errands feels like quality time with her favorite person!

Fast forward four years, and Collin was ready to propose. He decided to rent out the Tulsa Botanical Gardens for November 26th, when romantic Christmas lights covered the grounds. The two had the place to themselves when Collin pulled out a handmade scrapbook full of their memories together. They paged through and reminisced on their journey. Then, he popped the question!

Rooftop Engagement Session Outfits

We began our session in the park, where Collin and Kenzie wore casual outfits. Kenzie wore a blush pink sweater with jeans and white booties, while Collin wore a blue flannel shirt, jeans, and leather boots. They looked so cute together! I swooned over Kenzie’s engagement ring, which featured an emerald-cut diamond on a simple gold band. 

Then, the couple changed into formal outfits for their rooftop engagement session. Kenzie’s dress was white, with an asymmetric neckline and ruffled skirt. She looked stunning! Meanwhile, Collin wore a dashing black suit with a white button-down shirt. I loved photographing them against the backdrop of the city skyline!
