Mike and Mallory’s Crested Butte, Colorado Engagement Session was breathtaking! These two met on Hinge back in December of 2020. They said meeting each other was the highlight of that wild year! For them, it was literally love at first sight!! Mallory remembers texting her friend group, saying she had found her husband. Mallory said looking back it feels crazy to have known back then that he was the one now that they are actually engaged! On their first date together, they both deleted the Hinge App together and have been inseparable ever since. Such a beautiful love story!

Mike proposed when they were in Seaside, Florida, with his family on the beach taking family photos. He surprised her when she turned around and he was on one knee. She was truly in shock (they even have pictures to prove it ha!). Then he surprised her with her parents and Nana being there as well. It was so special and exciting and they were so happy to be able to experience it with all of their favorite people.

As a couple, they love to travel! For them, it feels like almost every weekend, they are doing something new. Whether it be exploring a winery 2 hours away or going on a House Boat trip with their friends. They really love a good experience and doing new things together as a couple!

Mike + Mallory’s Colorado Engagement Session

For this engagement session, they really wanted to focus on candid images that captured them having fun. They also really wanted to showcase how much love they share. As a photographer, I really just focused on capturing those moments and allowed them to really be vulnerable and authentic in front of the camera. I think when couples are able to get comfortable in front of the camera as well as with each other, the real magic happens. And that is exactly what happened during this session with these two!

The location made perfect sense for this session because the wedding will take place in Crested Butte, CO this upcoming summer. Mike spent lots of his life with his family here over the years so it was both a sentimental location as well as a beautiful one too. There were so many gorgeous locations for us to capture these beautiful moments. From the mountains in the background to the beautiful woods, we could not have chosen a better location. The golden hour lighting was also stunning and we could not have asked for better weather.
