Elliot and Kaitlin’s wedding at Bella Donna Chapel in Tulsa, Oklahoma was such a beautiful celebration of their love story. Elliott being from Georgia took a risk and accepted his first job in Great Falls, MT. Kaitlin being from Oklahoma, also took the same risk and took her first job in Montana. After matching on a dating app, they decided to go on their first date. On their second date, Elliott braved the cold weather to meet her at a Christmas tree lighting ceremony. She happened to be covering the event as a reporter. After Kaitlin tested Elliott by making him work at the event, they got to enjoy dinner after and a night of karaoke. He went with her to church the next day and since then they have been inseparable!
Kaitlin moved into his small apartment a couple of months later. They have been through a lot together. From braving a Montana winter with no heat or hot water for a month to starting their careers as traveling professionals. As a couple, they have escaped wildfires in Tahoe, rescued people from car accidents, and kayaked in the crystal blue waters of Lake Superior. They have gone through a lot in their short time and with each obstacle, their love has grown.
Finding out Elliott was the one was not an exact moment but a gradual increase where Kaitlin just realized she never wanted to leave this person and could not see her life without him. For Elliott, it was when he had lost his job and had no reason to stay in Montana, a place he did not like, but the fact that he was willing to stay there for Kaitlin showed him all he needed to know.
When their big day arrived, it was such a pleasure to be able to capture their wedding day memories for them. Kaitlin has been following me on Instagram since high school and always knew she wanted me to photograph her wedding. As a wedding photographer, I can’t explain how much that means to me to hear clients say such sweet things like this! I absolutely adore this couple. They are so genuine, kind, and intentional. They deserve all the happiness in the world! And their wedding day was truly just as beautiful as they are.
On the morning of their wedding day, the bride and groom got ready separately with family and friends. Before the ceremony, they shared a sweet first-touch moment together. They didn’t want to see each other before the ceremony, so this was a lovely way for them to still share a private and special moment together before walking down the aisle.
Their ceremony was held at Bella Donna Chapel which was stunning. The natural light from all of the windows filled the room and surrounded the couple in light as they exchanged their vows. Afterward, we were able to take some beautiful portraits around the venue with plenty of lovely greenery in the background.
When it was time for the reception, they had their venue space filled with gorgeous gold and white details. There was also plenty of greenery and flowers from Ever Something Florals. The couple and their guests had an amazing night filled with good food and even better dance moves! When it was time for the fun to end, Kaitlin and Elliot were whisked away in a stylish vintage car by Tulsa Wedding Car.
Overall, the night could not have been more perfect! I love working with such amazing couples who are beautiful inside and out and getting to capture their love story on camera.
