McKenzie and Peyton’s Parisian chic-inspired wedding at The Mayo Hotel was a showstopping event! I spent two years getting to know McKenzie + Peyton and they feel like dear friends now. It was such an honor to be a part of their big day, alongside so many of my favorite vendors. The whole team was able to provide McKenzie with the true dream wedding she always wanted.
Their ceremony took place at the Philbrook Museum, the same location as their engagement session. This couple planned their wedding for two years but knew early on that The Philbrook Museum was their dream location for a ceremony. This is such a gorgeous venue, that has classic Italian architecture and strolling gardens.
When designing the wedding with her planner, Erin Brown, McKenzie dreamed of a Parisian Chic affair, with endless white roses. Soft blush was added thoughtfully, to bring in a light touch of color. The French Bouquet really created a showstopper with the hanging florals, my jaw dropped as soon as I entered the ballroom!
The reception was filled with luxury details, from rose textured linens to tall centerpieces filled with fresh flowers. It was effortlessly refined, and tied into the vintage ballroom at The Mayo. Large crystal chandeliers glowed, as dozens of candles on each table added a soft sparkle throughout the evening. The rose theme was carried into the wedding cake. Five tiers of fondant featured textured rose petal layers, with editable pearls added for texture.
When hiring out your videographer and photographer, it’s so important to make sure you click (pun not intended, but it’s too good to not acknowledge) because you’ll spend the most time with them on the day of your wedding. John Bunn Films and I have been shooting alongside each other for YEARS now, so it’s always a delight to work together and be able to really help our couples relax and be themselves. We work side by side seamlessly and can help pose the two of you so that we can capture you on both camera, and video.
After engagements, bridals, rehearsal dinner, and now the wedding day…I feel so sad knowing my journey thus far with McKenzie + Peyton is over. But I know it’s not forever, because we’re staying in touch for certain! My friendship with them reminds me of why I love this job…meeting people I may not have otherwise because of my camera, but sticking around for the quality relationship we can form! I would love to get to know you and your partner and learn all about your wedding. 2022 and 2023 are booking quickly, so reach out today!
