McKenzie’s sunrise bridal session at the Philbrook Museum turned out to be an absolutely gorgeous photo session. No surprise there, with such a stunning bride and gorgeous location!
McKenzie had me booked for two years, so there was so much leading up to this day! I also had the pleasure of shooting MacKenzie and her fiancé Peyton’s engagement session. Their engagement session at the Philbrook Museum was so much fun and allowed me to really get to know the couple. This made my time with McKenzie during this bridal session even more enjoyable!
Sunrise bridal sessions always turn out so beautifully for so many reasons. The sunrise gives everything a soft and dreamy light, and having perfect lighting is everything when it comes to photos. Sunrise sessions also allow you to beat the hot summer heat. Your hair and makeup will be done for the day, so it’s always fun to take full advantage of your look by having something fun planned afterward!
For her session, The French Bouquet created the perfect bridal bouquet filled with all white roses. Bridal sessions are a great time to practice your bridal bouquet. You can see if the size and shape are what you want and get a preview of how it looks in photos!
For the session, we had the entire garden to ourselves, which allowed for stunning shots. This is always a great perk of sunrise sessions. There’s fewer people around! It was just the three of us, including her sweet mama, and we gushed over her literally all morning! She really was such an absolutely stunning bride!
After starting the morning at the Philbrook, we continued over to the Mayo Hotel. This was where McKenzie would later celebrate her wedding reception after saying I Do at The Philbrook. This art-deco hotel is so gorgeous, and it has some incredible spots for bridal portraits. The large 10-foot-high windows created a nice frame and backdrop and let in the soft morning light.
Bridal sessions are really turning into some of my favorite sessions to shoot! I love starting the day off with so much beauty and getting to spend such quality time with my clients and their family. If you have any questions about bridal sessions and want to see if they would be the right fit for your wedding plans, drop me a note! I would love to see how we can work together!
