Hannah and Reid’s summer wedding at Spain Ranch was one I was looking forward to since the moment they booked. Both of them and their families were so genuine and just fun to be around! I knew how lovely Hannah’s mom was already from Hannah’s bridal session, but it was so great to meet everyone else. Wedding days are hard work, but this one just felt so natural to be present in and truly enjoy from start to finish. I guess the saying “do what you love and you’ll never work a day in your life” felt completely true in regards to the Grimes wedding day!
This wedding included so many special moments, but my favorite was when Hannah’s mom gave her photo lockets to add to her bridal bouquet. This is such a special and meaningful way for her loved ones to be with her on her big day.
From start to finish, there was never, and I’m being honest, never a stressful moment. Every detail was perfectly planned and just absolutely beautiful as well. Thanks to the impeccable planning, we never ran short on time, and we never had anyone out of place or missing for photos! When it came to the details, they were absolutely incredible. I mean, this was the definition of a dream wedding day! From the lush floral ceremony arch to the blush pink chiffon bridesmaids’ dresses, every detail was well thought out and perfectly executed! Everything ran so smoothly that we were really able to capture so many beautiful moments and ensure that the couple got to soak up and enjoy every minute of their special day.
The moment I arrived and walked into Spain Ranch to see the decor Penelope and Lu executed, my jaw actually dropped. The ceremony arch was two asymmetrical displays, filled with the most incredible flowers and lush greenery. The seating chart was handwritten on gold vintage mirrors and hung on a boxwood backdrop. Guests were loving it! I shoot at Spain Ranch all year long, and I had never seen it transformed in this way! Daniel Weir outdid himself and created the most perfect atmosphere with his draping, and it was truly magical. Above the farm tables were greenery and lanterns hanging, which added such a beautiful glow in the evening.
From the heartfelt ceremony to the stunning reception décor to all the beautiful moments in between, this wedding really had it all! As I said, I had so much fun shooting this wedding that it truly did not even feel like work!
