This surprise proposal took place on a crisp winter evening here in Oklahoma.

Levi wanted Hannah to be fully surprised and came up with a genius plan to do so.

I had contacted her in hopes of them “modeling for a styled shoot” and expressed how wonderful it would be if they would like to “participate” little did she know I wasn’t the only one she would be saying yes to…

We began like a  normal session, snapping photos like nothing was going on…about halfway through the session, I asked Levi to take a seat so I could grab some shots of Hannah. I handed her a handwritten letter and explained it was just a little prop I brought along…as I grabbed photos of her holding it, I told her to go ahead and open it up and give it a read.

The letter wasn’t just a prop, it was a letter from Levi explaining all of the reasons he loved her (lettered so wonderfully by Prairie Letter Shop).

As she began reading, all she could keep asking us was, “IS THIS REAL?!” As she neared the bottom of the letter, Levi approached her from behind and got down on one knee. Hannah was in AWE – it was so amazing to watch. She had absolutely NO idea!!!

Of course, she screamed YES! It was so exciting!

Hannah began to explain the ring to me, it wasn’t just a ring Levi went and shopped for…it was her grandmother’s ring. Hannah’s grandparents will celebrate 60 years of marriage this year, and this is the VERY ring that her grandfather proposed with 60 years ago. She couldn’t believe Levi had gotten it, had it cleaned, and looking it’s best for Hannah’s hand now.

The remainder of the session was celebrated with donuts, drinks, floral poppers and lots of snuggles and kisses.

This was such a JOY to be a part of and I’m beyond thrilled for this very happy couple.

A special THANK YOU to all of the amazing vendors involved! You all are the greatest!
