After getting to know Megan and Charles during their Downtown Tulsa and Southern Hills engagement session, I knew their wedding day was going to be something special. Their wedding was everything I hoped it would be and MORE!

The day began at Christ the King Catholic Church in Tulsa, where Megan and Charles exchanged vows surrounded by their closest family and friends. The historic church provided such a beautiful and meaningful setting for the beginning of their marriage, with its timeless architecture and quiet sense of reverence.

There was something especially beautiful about watching the day unfold from those quiet getting-ready moments into the anticipation of walking down the aisle. Megan looked absolutely stunning, and the emotion of the day was evident as she and Charles finally saw each other for the first time.

Their ceremony was classic, heartfelt, and full of the kind of meaningful moments that make wedding photography so special.

A Timeless Mayo Hotel Wedding Reception

From Christ the King, the celebration continued at The Mayo Hotel, one of Tulsa’s most iconic wedding venues. The historic downtown setting was the perfect backdrop for Megan and Charles’ elegant reception.

Every detail came together beautifully, from the florals by Emerald & Olive to the carefully designed reception details and gorgeous stationery. Nicole Allen Events brought the entire vision together with thoughtful planning and design, creating a celebration that felt polished without ever losing its warmth.

The Mayo’s timeless architecture added another layer of elegance to the day, while the incredible energy of their guests made the reception feel completely alive.

The Details That Made Their Tulsa Wedding So Special

Megan and Charles’ wedding day was filled with beautiful details, but it was the personal moments in between that made it unforgettable. From portraits around downtown Tulsa to champagne, happy tears, full dance floors, and the joy of being surrounded by the people they love most, their gallery tells the story of a wedding day that was as meaningful as it was beautiful.

And then there was the party.

With live music from The Wavetones and DJ entertainment from Lions Road, the dance floor stayed full and the celebration carried well into the evening. Their guests brought so much energy to the reception, making it one of those wedding nights that you wish you could bottle up and keep forever.

A Full-Circle Family Connection

One of my favorite parts of photographing weddings is getting to see families return again and again. Megan and I already had a special connection before her wedding day—I had previously photographed her cousin’s beautiful Colorado destination wedding in Crested Butte.

It is such an honor when a family trusts me with one wedding, and then invites me back to document another generation of memories and milestones. By the time Charles and Megan’s wedding day arrived, it felt less like photographing a new client and more like celebrating with people I already knew.
